This large-scale graffiti project was created for the parking area of Walkingstone Riders Cafe in Cheongju. The 30-meter-wide, 3-meter-high exterior wall was treated as a visual stage, designed to support both the identity of the riders cafe and the way visitors gather, move, and take photos in the space.

The concept was developed from four key references: American vintage, Death Valley, open road, and Walkingstone. The client wanted a colorful but refined result, so BMBRS focused on balancing the raw energy of graffiti with a composed visual structure across the entire wall.

For a riders cafe, the parking lot is not just a functional area. It is where bikes are parked, people gather, and photos are taken. This mural was designed not as a decorative backdrop, but as a spatial element that holds attention and shapes the visitor experience.

Because the top of the wall connects directly with the open sky, darker tones were used along the upper area to create a clear visual boundary. The color palette was slightly desaturated to match the American vintage mood, while lettering, portraits, desert landscapes, and graphic objects were arranged to flow across the long horizontal surface.

The process began by organizing the wall structure and the main sightlines, then assigning graphic elements to each section. Large-scale lettering and desert imagery were placed in the central area, while portraits, tags, and graphic letterforms extended across both sides to control the visual density of the space.

DHAL, REMON, DZ, JAMES
DHAL, REMON, DZ, and JAMES worked together on the project, keeping each section’s individual style while aligning the overall finish as one coherent wall. With broad creative freedom, on-site color adjustment, transitions between sections, and final detailing became especially important.

The completed mural extends along the parking and deck area, allowing visitors to use different sections as distinct photo backdrops. Large lettering, portrait murals, desert road imagery, and graffiti tags work together to visually expand the identity and atmosphere of the riders cafe.
